whip up round up MAY 09 (C)

{

Sorry for the slowdown over the weekend - my internet connection was
doing some crazy slow things and so I was unable to log on - and my
lovely in-house IT assistant (ie. husband) was away - so I just had to
muddle through. But despite lack of posts on sunday the rest of the
week was fabulously creative. I wanted to start this weeks newsletter
with this youtube
video on Christian the lion
- the story of a lion cub adopted by
two young artists in London in the 70's and then released to the wild
- very moving.

Did you see the amazing phone book
dress
: and I am truly inspired by these story
vignettes
'sugar boxes' : and for something totally crazy - the puffy
collar pattern
: and how to carve a kuksa
cup
.

For the kids: What art supplies can
you not live without
? : gum
wrapper folding
: felt
mushroom
: do-si-do
book
- clever and great instructions : lino

: and a something for the garden - a pinecone bird
feeder
.

Stitching: embroidery
pattern
- super cute : pillowcase
apron
: woven
picot stitch
.

Paper: I loved this faux feather
paper wreath
: paper doily
lanterns
: saving
sewing patterns
- a very handy idea : teacup
card
: quick sketchbook.

Yarn: hula
hoop weaving
- this looks so fun : felt
earrings pattern
: cute crochet covered rock fish : amigurumi
lessons
: crochet
lipbalm cosy
: and don't miss this book review on this fabulous
knitting book - boutique
knits
.

refashion: leg
warmers
: and a crossover
top
for kids.

Thanks for reading and happy crafty week!
